Greatest Is Love

Scripture:

11 When I was a child, I spoke, thought, and reasoned in childlike ways as we all do. But when I became a man, I left my childish ways behind. 12 For now, we can only see a dim and blurry picture of things, as when we stare into polished metal. I realize that everything I know is only part of the big picture. But one day, when Jesus arrives, we will see clearly, face-to-face. In that day, I will fully know just as I have been wholly known by God. 13 But now faith, hope, and love remain; these three virtues must characterize our lives . The greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:11-13 The Voice)
As Christians, I think so much of our time can be taken up trying to figure out our purpose, our gifts, our position, and many other things. Paul is telling us that we only know part of what is true, but that virtues of faith, hope, and love are to be with us. But the greatest of these is love. If we do what we do with real love, then we will be doing the right thing. Father, help me to have more love, to show more love. I don’t want to get caught up trying to do or be more than I am; or even more than You want me to be. AMEN I can truly be happy, Lord, if I am a person of integrity and follow and obey Your laws. I will continue to search for You and follow Your path. Psalm 119
