Trying Again

Scripture: 1 After Jesus had finished His teaching about forgiveness, He left Galilee and He went to the section of Judea on the other side of the Jordan River. 2 Large crowds followed Him, and when He got to Judea, He set about healing them. The religious leaders who are eyeing the crowds and watching the healings decide it is again time to try to trip up Jesus. 3 So some Pharisees approached Jesus and asked Him this tricky question about divorce : Pharisees: “Is it ever lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” (Matthew 19:1-3 The Voice) The religious leaders were at it again; trying to find a way that they can accuse Jesus of doing something against their laws. If they had spent more time really listening to the truths Jesus was speaking, they would have been so much better off. Can we get caught in the trap of following rules and regulations rather than listening to the truths God is speaking to us? I believe this something we should be careful to watch for in our lives as well. Father God, I want above all, to hear Your words of truth for my life. Thank You for being my Father, and for giving me Your truth and Your ways for my life. I love You. AMEN Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. I pray You will lead me along right paths for my life. Psalm 139
