Faith In His Heart

Scripture: 8 In Lystra, Paul and Barnabas encountered a man who from birth had never walked, for he was crippled in his feet. 9 He listened carefully to Paul as he preached. All of a sudden, Paul discerned that this man had faith in his heart to be healed. 10 So he shouted, “You! In the name of our Lord Jesus, stand up on your feet!” The man instantly jumped to his feet, stood for the first time in his life, and walked! (Acts 14:8-10 The Passion) What did faith in his heart look like to Paul? What might faith in my heart look like to my Father? The faith that was in this man’s heart was evident in some way to Paul, and as Paul responded to the man’s faith and told him to stand, the man stood. This man had never stood before and yet his faith helped him to simply respond to Paul. Do I, do you, have that kind of faith? Father, help me. I so want to have faith in my heart as this man did! Not only to have the faith in my heart, but to respond to a call from You to stand, to do what You ask me to do. AMEN My Lord God, Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of Your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for I know that You are near me. Psalm 23
