Ears To Hear

Scripture: 23 All who have ears to hear, let them listen. 24 So consider carefully the things you’re hearing. If you put it to use, you’ll be given more to wrestle with—much more. 25 Those who have listened will receive more, but those who don’t hear will forget even the little they’ve failed to understand. (Mark 4:23-15 The Voice) To me this portion of scripture is saying that Jesus really wanted those He was teaching to not just hear the words He was saying, but to think about them, and what they might mean to each one. I believe He wanted for them, and for me, to ponder the words, to wrestle with them, and let them become life and not just words. Jesus’ teachings and the parables He used are there for me today to think about, to use in my life, and to become what I need. Thank You, Lord, that You have given us so much to use today. Your words are not just marks on paper, they are life for me if I truly have ears and a heart to listen and to ponder. I love You. AMEN Father, Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great blessings for those of us who honor You. So I will put my hope in You. Psalm 31
