Who Am I To Question

Scripture:

1 Then Job replied to the LORD: 2 “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. 3 You ask, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I. And I was talking about things I did not understand, things far too wonderful for me. 4 “You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’ 5 “I had heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. 6 I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.” (Job 42:1-6 NLT)

How many times have I carried on the way Job did trying to defend myself, trying to figure it all out on my own? And then I feel so foolish when God shows Himself to be so faithful! He truly is God, and I am not.

Lord, I do so want to keep that in the forefront of my thinking; you are God and I am not! Please forgive me for the times that I have ranted on and on; questioning and even demanding some explanation about things that were happening. I want to let my trust be in You and Your goodness. You are my strength and my help, and I love You. AMEN

I will tell myself, with my whole heart, to praise God’s Holy Name. I will praise His Holy Name and never forget the good things He does for me. Psalm 103
