The Way To Wisdom

Scripture:

23 “God surely knows where it can be found, 24 for he looks throughout the whole earth, under all the heavens. 25 He made the winds blow and determined how much rain should fall. 26 He made the laws of the rain and prepared a path for the lightning. 27 Then, when he had done all this, he saw wisdom and measured it. He established it and examined it thoroughly. 28 And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’ ” (Job 28:23-28 NLT)

God knows where to find wisdom. Wisdom and understanding are valuable to us as Christians. If we have fear (respect) of the Lord, we will know true wisdom, follow His ways, and turn from evil. 5 Let those who are wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. And let those who understand receive guidance 6 by exploring the depth of meaning in these proverbs, parables, wise sayings, and riddles. 7 Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:5-7 NLT) God has been so faithful to give His Word to guide us, and to show us the way to live; if only we will hear and follow. As God guides, teaches, and corrects us, we will learn wisdom, and be able to walk in it more fully.

Father, I thank You for the way you teach me, and lead me. Thank You for the book of Proverbs, that has such good, practical ways to live. You are good, and I love You. AMEN

Father, today I come before You with thanksgiving and sing a song of praise. You are a great God, and I bow down and worship You. Psalm 95
