Jesus Appeared Again

Scripture: 10 Then Jesus said, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” 11 So Peter waded into the water and helped pull the net to shore. It was so full of many large fish, exactly one hundred and fifty-three, but even with so many fish, the net was not torn. 12 “Come, let’s have some breakfast,” Jesus said to them. And not one of the disciples needed to ask who it was, because every one of them knew it was the Lord. 13 Then Jesus came close to them and served them the bread and the fish. 14 This was the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection. (John 21:10-14 The Passion) Once again Jesus came to his disciples after his resurrection. He knew where to find them. They had gone back to something they knew how to do it seems; fishing. But then that did not work so well. But when Jesus told them to throw the net over the other side, they did and what a catch they got! Then we have to ask, “Why did Jesus appear again to his disciples?” I believe that He wanted to make sure they knew that He had been resurrected. And also He had some unfinished business to complete with Peter to prepare him for what was ahead of him. Thank You, Father, for the assurances You give us. You are always there for us and are willing to show us more and more who You are and what You have for us to do. AMEN Lord God, I will worship You with extended hands as my whole heart explodes with praise! I will tell about Your wonderful works and how Your marvelous miracles exceed expectations! Psalm 9
