I Am Willing

Scripture:

40 A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can make me well again,” he said. 41 Moved with pity, Jesus touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” 42 Instantly the leprosy disappeared—the man was healed. 43 Then Jesus sent him on his way and told him sternly, 44 “Go right over to the priest and let him examine you. Don’t talk to anyone along the way. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy, so everyone will have proof of your healing.” (Mark 1:40-44 NLT)

What great words to hear from Jesus: “I am willing.” There are times when all I want to hear from Jesus are those words. I can know that He is able, but to know that He is willing is so important! ‘How can we understand the road we travel? It is the Lord who directs our steps.’ (Proverbs 20:24) Lord, Your willingness to direct our steps is what I want.

Lord, You hear me this morning; direct our steps. Your willingness to do that is what we depend on. I love You. AMEN

Father, thank You that I can and do put my trust and confidence in You alone and not in people or organizations. You alone are God. Psalm 118
