Fruit – Sermon on the Mount 18
You can’t always tell by outward appearance. So don’t be too quick to judge!
You can’t always tell by outward appearance. So don’t be too quick to judge!
When we read, “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate,” we think of “entering heaven after we die”
The point here isn’t really how often, how long, or how loud you pray.
Do you ever wonder why some people just seem to skate along through life and are hardly ever judged or criticized for their faults?
Will I have what I need? Will there be enough?
Some things are mutually exclusive. You can’t be equally devoted to polar opposites.
It’s not merely the religious behavior or the outward act (Jesus relates this principle to prayer, giving, and fasting), it’s the motive.
May I represent you well in the way I live and the way I deal with other people.
Pretty much everybody prays! Christians pray, people of other faiths and religions pray, even atheists pray sometimes.
Jesus thinks this is really important and we should too!
