Loving Father

Scripture: 7 “Ask and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.” 9 Do you know of any parent who would give his hungry child, who asked for food, a plate of rocks instead? 10 Or when asked for a piece of fish, what parent would offer his child a snake instead? 11 If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?” (Matthew 7:7-11 The Passion) I love this portion of Scripture! It has so much meaning to me personally. When I think about how I desire, and love, to give good gifts to my children, it reminds me once again how much my loving Father gives so much to me. There have been time when my children have asked for things that I knew where not the best for them, and so I refused their request. My loving Father always knows what is best for me, so I want to continue to trust Him to give me the best. You are my loving Father, and I put my trust and confidence in You and in Your ways. Thank You for Your love for me, for my family. You are so good and I am so grateful. AMEN Lord, I know that You love us, Your children, walking in Your justice. You will forever keep us in Your faithful care. We will enjoy the promise of Your care. Psalm 37
