Turning Away So Quickly
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
By Jean Stephens
Scripture:

6 God, by his grace through Christ, called you to become his people. So I am amazed that you are turning away so quickly and believing something different than the Good News. 7 Really, there is no other Good News. But some people are confusing you; they want to change the Good News of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-7 NCV)

Observation:

We as humans have such a hard time staying on focus with God. As we have been also reading about the nation of Israel that Moses led out of Egypt, they so quickly forgot all that God had done for them. And here Paul is saying that he is shocked at how quickly they turned away from him and his ways.

Application:

I do know that it can be easy to forget the good things God has done for us and think He has never done anything good for us. That is why it is so important to rehearse the stories of God’s love and goodness in our lives; to remember and to remind ourselves who it is that we serve.

Prayer:

Lord, I do not want to turn away from you. You are life and you are my life. Continue to give us grace to serve you all the days of our life. Thank you. AMEN

Today I will praise you with all my heart. You do miracles and provide always. I am happy because you are my Father. Thank you. Psalm 9:1-2
