As Little Children

Scripture:

13 Some people brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch them, but his followers told them to stop. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was upset and said to them, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these children. 15 I tell you the truth, you must accept the kingdom of God as if you were a little child, or you will never enter it.” 16 Then Jesus took the children in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them. (Mark 10:13-16 NCV)

Observation:

How glad I am that Jesus had time for the children; he still has time for children. What is it that children have that caused Jesus to say that we should be like them? It is simple faith. They believe easily. That is why it is so important to be wise in what we teach them and show them.

Application:

I love watching my grandsons learn. It is amazing to see their trust in those of us that help them. They always believe that we will catch them, that we will be there, and that we will provide for them.

Prayer:

Lord God, I pray that I will be renewed in my simple faith by watching Jesse, Jude, and Zane. I want to have confident, believing faith in you. Thank you for the example that Jesse, Jude, and Zane are to me.

Today Father I will find my rest in you alone. You are my hope and my rock of protection and salvation. Psalm 62:1-2, 6
