Jim and Jean were able to make a trip to the UK in June and July of 2006. It was a great time of seeing friends as well as some ministry time.
The first Sunday, we ministered at Leytonstone Elim, the church we were a part of for the 8 years that we lived in London. It was like being home to be with the people and share with them once again.
The second Sunday, we were at Lea Valley Church that is located just outside London in Waltham Abbey. Again, it was good to see friends, many of whom are past students from East London Bible Training Centre. It is also the home of Mike and Yvonne, the current directors of East London Bible Training Centre; Waltham Abbey.
And speaking of past students, we were delighted to have a Past Student Reunion while we were in the UK. What memories that brought back!! Students from each of the seven years that we led the Bible Training Centre’s in London as well as some from the following years attended the Reunion.
One of the highlight’s of our trip was to participate in the 14th Graduation of East London Bible Training Centre. The Directors are, Mike and Yvonne Tobin who are graduates as well; from the first year of East London Bible Training Centre.
We also traveled to Kidderminster in the Midlands to visit with our friends, David and Angela Clarke. We stayed with them on our very first trip to the UK in 1990 and we count them as some of our very special and treasured friends. We had time with George Miller as well while we were there. He is the one that first invited us to the UK and started the whole experience of the UK rolling.
Another exciting thing for us was the time we were able to spend with our Jamaican son, Dale Robinson. We helped him celebrate his 40th Birthday and that was great.
