The Bible Training Centre ministry is a method of effectively training and equipping people for supportive ministry in the local church. This method is not unique to us but has some points of distinction that we have developed and cultivated to address specific needs and concerns.
Distinctives of Bible Training Centre Concept
- The Bible Training Centre is not a Bible College: The Bible Training Centre program is built around a one year Foundation for Christian Service course done in three terms. The course is not primarily academic, but focused on practical application. We conduct evening classes only.
- Our Target Group is ordinary people, who are committed to Christ and planted in a local church, and who desire to serve God effectively where they are. The course is beneficial to new converts and seasoned saints. We recommend a denominational Bible College or other Institution for those who after Bible Training Centre course desire to go on to "full-time" ministry.
- Our Purpose is equipping God's people for supportive ministry in their own local church and as outreach ministries from the local church.
- Topics Covered: Foundations of the Faith, Knowing God, Character Development, Importance of Local Church Commitment, Servant's Heart, Christian Stewardship, Identifying Your Call, Gifts of the Spirit, Developing Gifts and Skills, Releasing Ministry.
- The course is conducted in an atmosphere of Encouragement, Discipline, Encouragement, Challenge, Encouragement.
- Methods employed include: Classroom lectures, Large and small group discussion, Study assignments, Projects, Assistance in identifying Spiritual Giftings and areas of ministry focus, Atmosphere of challenge and encouragement.

In August of 2006, Kampala Foursquare Church celebrated their Fourth Bible Training Centre graduation. This Bible Training Centre is also open to those outside of Kampala Foursquare Church.
