Everything looked so good! Israel had a new leader, it was a new season for the nation, and they were facing new and very rewarding challenges. God had affirmed Joshua’s leadership with a great miracle in crossing the flooded Jordan River on dry ground. God had given Joshua a remarkable strategy for the conquest of the walled city of Jericho that once again displayed God’s miraculous power and gave the Israelites a decisive victory.
